Welcome to the official website of Bangladesh New Zealand Friendship Society (BNZFS), the online home for the Bangladeshi Community in New Zealand. BNZFS aims to bring together the Bangladeshi community living in New Zealand and to provide various services to them. Established in 1991, Bangladesh New Zealand Friendship Society (BNZFS) is a membership-based, non-profit, organization without affiliation to any political parties in Bangladesh or in New Zealand and is a voluntary association of individuals formed for promoting & practising Bangladeshi social, cultural, educational, literary, religious, social activities and many others. Society also involves in awareness and community development, publication, relief and welfare programmes, trade and business support, volunteers and philanthropic activities and supporting other ethnic and multicultural societies. Bangladesh New Zealand Friendship Society also promotes integration of Bangladeshis in to the New Zealand way of life.
Our goal is to bring a taste of our beloved country and foster unity among the Bangladeshi community living in New Zealand by organizing various community activities e.g. celebrating Independence Day, Victory Day, International Mother Language Day, Bengali New Year, Rabindra-Nazrul Jayanti, religious festivals, cultural evenings, overnight camping, picnic, Bangla school, sports and games, publishing magazine ‘Ayojon’ and newsletter, providing Bangla Library service, broadcasting Bangla Radio programme, arranging various migrant services and seminars, research, organizing women’s programmes, Bangla language school and many more. In times of crisis in Bangladesh or New Zealand, caused by any natural or un-natural disasters Bangladesh New Zealand Friendship Society (BNZFS) has always endeavoured to raise awareness and contribute to help the affected people by their direct involvement.
The organization is efficiently run by an elected EC committee who puts a lot of effort in their own time to achieve the above goals and objectives.
